Choose Your Perfect Time for Classes
Our goals and intentions of Divine Dance Studio Competition Teams:
We compete to be a light in the industry and to allow our students to have fun and use their talents
We want to help them be the best dancer they can be within the 8 months we have them. We work hard, form friendships and see them grow!
We attend 1 or 2 competitions during the season with our groups. We compete with Hip Hop, Jazz and Contemporary.
All Competition students must take a ballet or technique class, Hip Hop is excluded from that.
Remember – that you get out of class what you put into class. We should all be constant learners.
Please stay in communication with the teachers. Everything functions better with communication.

All of these above are possibilities and options and never required.
We do ask that during recital week that each dancer is present for all rehearsals with the exception of any mandatory school functions (ie: chorus and band concerts) Those old enough to work, you know plenty time in advance to ask for it off. Same with competitions.
A Competition dance can not miss the 2 classes prior to competition
Each Competition can range between $45-$65 per dancer
A Divine Jacket is required to be on the team and must be bought if you don’t have one.
Competition Teams look like this:
Mini – Ages 6-8 -1 competition per year Jazz, Hip Hop
Junior – Ages 9-11 – 1 or 2 competitions per year Jazz, Hip Hop, Contemporary
Teen – Ages 12-14 -1 or 2 competitions per year Jazz, Hip Hop, Contemporary
Senior – Ages 15-18. 1 or 2 competitions per year Jazz, Hip Hop, Contemporary
**The ages are just an average age of the people on the team. We place students based on their skill level and knowledge of dance.
**Please let Miss Erin know if you would like to be a part of the Competition teams for 2023/2024 season

Join Our Competition
Competition Requirements:
- A $25 registration fee will be required for each competition dancer and will include a competition t-shirt.
- Every competition dancer Must take a ballet class or a technique class
- We attend 2 competitions per year
- We expect full commitment to the class and to the team
- Extra rehearsals will be held on Saturday mornings for choreography
- Each Competition Team Member will have the opportunity to be a part of our opening number
- Competition is for Ages 6-18
